Just wanted to show everyone the final repair on the Ibanez headstock.You can see from the pics how much damage had to be covered up. I had to splice in some cherry on the ears for structural integrity, then fill the areas of missing wood and finish. Trying to match the finish color was a challenge, but giving it a bit of a worn look helped. After I got her strung up and playing again, I could almost hear her thanking me. Now I just need to find her a new home.
