Had some time last night to perfect the Counter, Mount and Click timing.
You can see as it rotates counter clockwise the piece of acrylic mounted to the spindle impacts the second piece of acrylic mounted to the counter arm actuating the counter as it passes. For every rotation the counter clicks one digit. I had a chance to test it at High speed and it works with no skips or double clicks. It's loud as heck but I can wind about 6 thousand rotations in about 3 to 5 minutes. If you look close you can also see the guide stops I've begun to install to hand guide the wire on to the spindles. All that's left now is the mounting brackets for the spindles. This should be an interesting exercise. All the parts you see except the motor and the counter have come from scrap laying around the shop. figuring out a way to create a spindle mount with what I've got laying around should be fun.
